Mechanical failure is the main cause of rescue call-outs worldwide, but basic care and regular maintenance will help ensure that you are not part of this statistic.
This course will help you prevent and solve diesel engine failure. The course will give awareness of the main systems of a marine diesel engine and the ability to prevent breakdown at sea & rectify defects not requiring workshop support.
You will get to work on a real engines, in a workshop environment, learning all about the diesel engine, how it works, and what might make it stop. During the session you will learn how to bleed the fuel system, replace fuel, oil, and air filters, and replace a pump impellor.
