Friday 29th April – Friday 6th May – 53rd Antigua Sailing Week Friday Training Day, Saturday Round the Island Race; Sun – Friday Sailing Week with lay day Wednesday
Antigua Sailing Week is one of the premier sailing regattas and Ondeck Antigua’s Home Event .
Individuals can join Spirit of Juno , our Farr 65 which was first in a large and competitive class in 2018 and third in 2019.
We also have two Beneteau First 40.7s available for bareboat or skippered charter in the racing classes
Antigua Sailing Week consists of six challenging days of top class racing in, what are regarded as, the best sailing conditions in the World.
With a fleet of both owned and managed yachts and our base in Antigua Yacht Club Marina, Ondeck Sailing can offer you comprehensive local knowledge and the unique experience of being part of a local company
The race village and marinas are all close and within safe and easy walking distance. The choice of bars, restaurants, local BBQ’s and late night spots make this a wonderful event whether you are coming as a group or on your own
Spirit of Juno is our ‘head boat’ meaning that individuals or small groups can join the team for an event. we normally have around 4 pro crew on board so can take a mix of experienced racers as well as a few novices.
She is a physical yacht with no powered winches so there are plenty of jobs even for a big crew and you will not be ‘rail meat’ as we try and involve our guests in many of the roles on board.
She usually achieves podium positions at the major regattas and attracts a strong and loyal following with many strong friendships built.
We also have two Beneteau First 40.7s available for skippered and whole boat charter

The BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival increases in popularity every year and 2021 should be fantastic on and off the water as it reaches the ‘Big 5 0’
We may see the return of the Full Moon Race [150 nm and overnight] which is optional for most yachts but Spirit of Juno will take part. we will post details on this as soon as available
Normally the regatta has 2 parts, firstly the Sailing Festival for 2 days traditionally encompassing the Round Tortola Race and then a relaxing Island Race, then Lay Day.
There is a Round Tortola Race, or the Scrub Island Race with afternoon BBQ and party – both great options.
Lay day followed by 3 days of more serious racing in the main Regatta 1st – 3rd

St Thomas International Regatta based around the St Thomas Yacht Club. Lively, friendly with great sailing and not so big you get lost in the crowds.
The racing on the 24th is the Round the Rocks Race and is a good opportunity to dust the cobwebs off before the main racing starts Fri-Sun – three days of highly competitive racing in what are usually strong breezes.
We will be offering individual and small group places on our Farr 65, Spirit of Juno, and have our Beneteau First 40.7 available bareboat or with skippers / owners rep

The regatta has come a long way with 900 sailors from 30 countries taking part on a hugely challenging course with many different legs around the Caribbean islands, sail changes, wind shifts and the cream of world offshore racing to compete with in the comparative warmth of the Caribbean.
This exciting event attracts an incredible fleet including some of the top racers in the world but at the same time has plenty to offer enthusiastic amateurs and first time offshore racers.
Starting in February, this event dovetails with the other major Caribbean Regattas and will set off from Fort Charlotte, just outside English Harbour in Antigua. Heading north, the fleet will pass a mark off Barbuda, Nevis, Saba and St Barth’s before circling St Maarten and heading down the west coast and round the south of Guadeloupe.
Finally you will head back north to a mark off Barbuda, across to the tiny but spectacular ‘Kingdom of Redonda’ before returning to Antigua for the finish.
We have options for indiciduals or small groups to Join Team Juno with a Beneteau First 40.7 for skippered or bareboat charter
Team Spirit of Juno
We are back, of course we would be, it is one of our favourite races.
A classic warm water race round beautiful islands in trade winds, well normally yes, but in 2017 half the fleet, we had to retire due to sustained winds of over 40 kts. One thing which the 2017 gales proved is that when the going gets rough a Farr 65 that has raced round the World and across the Southern Ocean is a good boat to be on.
We are seeking team members to join us on Team Juno. We provide 4 days of training before the race and if you wish you can also sleep on board, which both saves the cost of accommodation plus increases familiarity with the layout. It is great if you are already an accomplished racing sailor, but you don’t need experience if you are a committed team member as all 4 Official Crew have considerable experience, both on Juno and other yachts
The Skipper will again be Paul Jackson back for his 6th C600. With over 110,000 NM this Ocean YachtMaster and YachtMaster Instructor plus RYA Offshore Safety Instructor has some 30,000Nm of serious racing experience including having won Division in the Sydney Hobart twice, winning 3 Peaks Yacht Race and line Honours for the Lord Howe Island Race. Six of the 2020 team are already expressing interest in returning for the race. Training starts 1000 Wednesday 17th February and race starts Monday 22nd. Originally built and MCA Coded to carry 19 to race round the World we run with a maximum of 16. Spirit of Juno has 15 good sea going berths plus others used for storage. We will run on 2 watches and, once again, aim to beat the Volvo 60s both on IRC and through the water.
The package–Accom on board from Sunday afternoon 10th Feb to Sunday morning 24th. Training starts 1000 17th Feb. and concludes in time for the first big sponsored party on Saturday evening 16th. Race starts 22nd and we normally get back in by late Thursday with sponsored prize giving party Friday evening 26th. Cost–£1950/$2450 with early booking discount of £200 up to 1st November, this includes food during training and race, team shirts accom on board for those who want it. Being able to sleep on board from Sunday evening 14 th until morning of Saturday 27 th allows significant savings on accommodation costs.
WHAGS– Normally a few partners come out as well … there are 3 interested already. This means you can treat your beloved to a splendid Caribbean Holiday knowing that he or she has company by the Pool or in a Beach bar whilst you selflessly help out a sailing team for a few hours.
Fuel, tank water, comprehensive shore and maintenance support, event management, race entry accommodation on board if required.
Exclusive Of 40.7 Charter:
Race Entry fees, dockage fees, flights, transfers and shoreside accommodation – 25% of Charter Costs as Security Deposit. Skipper and crew for Beneteau 40.7 – rates on application.
